Alan Josef Kaplan, Founder/Chairman — Music and computer-industry veteran Alan Josef Kaplan is the founder and former chief executive officer of the $18 million music publishing and record label company Music West. In 1990 he received his 2nd consecutive Label of the Year award from Billboard magazine and was named one of the top 40 entrepreneurs under 40 by Entrepreneur Magazine. Kaplan worked with the first national retailer of PCs, ComputerLand. He helped launch the IBM XT and AT as well as Apple’s IIc and Macintosh computers. He served as an adviser to management of Gold Circle Entertainment (music), PackageNet (online package delivery), Headspace (now Beatnik, music on the Internet), MissionStudios (video games) and Motorola Interactive Media Festival (conference on new media and the Internet).

Matthew Finberg, General Counsel/Corporate Secretary - Finberg, who has had his own practice since 1995, specializes in commercial transactions, business formation, real estate, estate and asset protection, planning and entertainment. Prior to opening his own firm, Finberg was an associate at two firms in Boulder, Colo., Joiner and Goodman and Dietze and Davis, as well as two firms in Washington, D.C., Hogan & Hartson and Lane and Edson. Finberg also served as the supervisor of the national tax office at Laventhol and Horwath, a certified public accounting firm in Washington. Finberg received his law degree from George Washington University and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Boulder, Colorado, Maryland, District of Columbia and American Bar Associations, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is the cofounder and director of the College of Wealth Professionals and has published articles in several professional journals.

Consultants

Deborah A. Morgan, Music Industry - Morgan’s notable record of industry success includes, most recently a position as General Manager of BMG Classics US, a division of BMG Entertainment specializing in adult music (Broadway, soundtracks, jazz, world music, and crossover). Her responsibilities included oversight of a 70 person staff, online services, business development, marketing, sales, A&R, creative services, and production finance. Prior to her work at BMG, she established and ran D. Morgan and Associates, a marketing and development-consulting firm, and was Senior Vice President of marketing and sales for PolyGram Classics and Jazz. Morgan obtained her BA from the University of Michigan and is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Advisory Board

Kelly Lefkowitz - Mr. Lefkowitz has 15 years experience in strategy, planning, implementation, and interim management including 10 years experience with technology and web-centric businesses. Lefkowitz has a talent for balancing visionary leadership and executive management roles to maintain strategic and tactical focus simultaneously. Additionally, he has experience in entertainment having provided consulting services to NBC Entertainment and Internet music giant ARTISTdirect in the areas of strategy and planning. Other Internet/entertainment clients include ActionGate, BuzzGuide.Com, CyberActive Network, Lone Wolf and MetaWire. Lefkowitz holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University School of Management and an MBA from the University of Southern California where he has also taught strategy and planning in the School of Entrepreneurship’s Business Expansion Network.

Jimmy Calano - Jimmy Calano was the cofounder and CEO of CareerTrack. After leading CareerTrack for 13 years and building revenue to $80 million, Jimmy sold the company to TCI in June of 1995.

Scott Cheney - Cheney is the president of Cheney Consulting and has 15 years of experience in financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, general accounting, and start-up financing.

Fred Fuchs, Senior Advisor - Fred Fuchs is nothing less than a legend in the film industry. From "Godfather III" to "The Virgin Suicides" and 17 major motion pictures in between, he has established himself as one of Hollywood’s premier producers. As former president of Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Studios, Mr. Fuchs worked with the most accomplished professionals in Hollywood. He recently became executive producer for the interactive entertainment company Extend.com, an interactive programming provider. Mr. Fuchs provides invaluable advice, experience, and extensive relationships to ClickPLAY.

Steven Elias - Elias is a cofounder and managing member of Flexible Funding in San Francisco, a company that provides funding and management services to the staffing industry. He also has served as chief financial officer for several companies, including Adaptive Video and Select, the original equipment manufacturer for the word processor bundled with DEC, NEC, and Xerox computers, which Elias took public on NASDAQ.

Jerry Comer - Comer is owner and a principal of Comer & Associates, LLC, with extensive experience in business-to-business marketing, business growth and development, team building, creating systems for effective management, information technologies, Internet, intranet and extranet applications, and manufacturing operations. Comer currently serves on the board of directors of the Rockies Venture Club.

Mike Herman - Herman has proven expertise in Internet advertising, working with web ad servers since their inception. He presently serves as a strategic accounts manager in the technology group at DoubleClick DART, where he provides businesses with e-commerce solutions as a lead consultant for the top 50 high volume web sites. Herman has also worked for Netgravity and Reed-Elsevier Publishing.

Mike Lane - Lane, a pioneer in the marketing of information to the music industry since 1981, is currently with Strategic Record Research, a division of the Left Bank Organization. Lane is well respected in the industry and spoke at NARM 1999 in Las Vegas, where he profiled Internet music buyers.

Bruce Cunningham, Esquire - (Full bio available upon request.) 13 career IPO’s, took DoubleClick public, was with Brobeck Phlager and Harrison in NYC and Colorado. Now is head of business development for network enhancement technology provider — InFlow, Denver Colorado.
